Turning Point
I had experienced many years as a Fireman. I worked out regularly, globo gym, and mountain biking. I considered myself "fit". Then it happened. I injured my knee and back while on the job. I thought I was invincible. After all, I was "fit" right? During my rehabilitation, I realized how weak I actually was. I couldn't squat much weight, lunge, or deadlift. Like most, I was a back and bi's Chest and tri's globo gym junky. It was at this point I knew I needed something different. A few guys at work were doing CrossFit. I was hesitant. Just as most people, and probably you reading this right now. But I knew if I was going to continue to be the strong Fireman I needed to be I had to try. Let me tell you this, I am stronger and faster now in my 50s than I ever was in my 30s! CrossFit saved my back, gives me the strength to do a young man's job, and best of all, perform better in every aspect of my life! I now own two CrossFit gyms as well as continue to train new Firemen at work in its methodology! I know now what I am capable of!
Motivation & Passion
My purpose is to help others be the best version of themselves. For themselves and for others. Whether its the High School athlete or the Grandfather taking care of the Grand-kids. The functional methodology has changed my life and I know it will change countless others as well! Any life I can touch is a win in my book!
